Mpofana Local Municipality

Mpofana (English Mpofana Local Municipality, formerly Mooi Mpofana ) is a municipality in the South African uMgungundlovu district in the province of KwaZulu -Natal. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Mooi River. Mcedisi Mthethwa is the mayor. The ANC represents the majority in the City Council.

2007 the municipality had 31,518 inhabitants according to projections. It covers an area of ​​1652 square kilometers.

Geography
