MPT 1327

MPT 1327 is an analog trunked radio network standard, which was developed in 1988 in the UK by the British Radiocommunications Agency for use in the walkie. The advantage over the digital standard for trunked TETRA is the inherently higher receiver sensitivity of the FDMA transmission. The same is the case with Tetrapol. It therefore results in a higher range, since TETRA uses a complex TDMA modulation and thus requires a higher signal -to-noise ratio.

The channel bandwidth can be 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz.

There are several types of calls allowed:

  • Two-way connection
  • Collecting and Festgruppenruf
  • Join group by sequential user call
  • Diversion
  • Priority connections
  • Useful
  • Data transmission
