Mqabba F.C.

The Mqabba FC was founded in 1957 and currently plays in the First Division, the second highest Maltese league. He hails from the small town Mqabba in the South West of Malta.

History

For the first time in 1916 football was in Mqabba, during the First World War, in the season 1915 / played, this team, then called itself " il - Mentna ". After the First World War, however, the enthusiasm for football went out in Mqabba, until 1944, again. This year was a team that was recruited exclusively from soldiers, founded this played football until 1950. In 1950, the " Mqabba Ramblers " were founded. As early as 1957, a competing club was founded, the " Mqabba Hajduk ". These two teams harbored a great rivalry until they were united in 1961 to FC Mqabba.
