Mr. Holland's Opus

Mr. Holland's Opus is an American film drama from the year 1995. Was directed by Stephen Herek, the screenplay was written by Patrick Sheane Duncan. The main role was played by Richard Dreyfuss.

Action

The composer Glenn Holland takes in 1964 a job as a music teacher in a school. First, he wants to work only for a limited time there to save money to write a symphony.

But he underestimated the workload in school, and when his wife is pregnant, the couple decided to buy a house. So ultimately, the work goes on under his composition between school summer job as a driving instructor and his family responsibilities.
