The Louis Olympia is a cruise ship in the Cypriot Louis Cruise Lines. The ship was found in 1982 as Song of America Royal Caribbean International in service.

History

In May 1998, the Song of America was sold for $ 94.5 million to Sun Cruises. Unlike previously sold ships Royal Caribbean International did not remove the Viking Crown Lounge. However, Royal Caribbean International chartered the ship back to March 1999. In July 2004 the ship was sold to Louis Cruise Line. However, Sun Cruises chartered the ship back to May 2005. Then Louis Cruise Line chartered the ship to Thomson Cruises. Since 2012, Louis Cruise Line operates the ship as Louis Olympics.

Technical data and equipment

The ship is powered by four eight-cylinder diesel engine manufacturer Wärtsilä Sulzer - driven (type: 8ZL 40/48 ). The motors act via reduction gear on two controllable pitch propellers.

For the power supply are five diesel generators manufacturer Wärtsilä (type: 6R 32 ) are available. Furthermore, an emergency generator was installed.
