Msambweni

Msambweni is a constituency in Kwale County in southern Kenya. By 2010 Msambweni was a separate district, but has been incorporated as part of the constitutional reform in the Kwale County. According to the census of 2009, the constituency has 288 393 inhabitants.

The constituency is located on the Indian Ocean between the town of Ukunda and the border with Tanzania. In contrast to neighboring places like Diani Beach there are few hotels, this large holiday home equipment. Furthermore, there are fishing and agriculture.

To supply the population of the wider area there is a district hospital, as well as an educational institution ( college ) for nursing staff.

The climate is tropical in the coastal, hot and humid to 40 degrees Celsius. Flooding from heavy rains there regularly.
