Mtubatuba is a city in the South African province of KwaZulu -Natal. It is located in the homonymous municipality in the district Umkhanyakude. It is the seat of the municipality. 2011, the city had 27,237 inhabitants.

Geography

Mtubatuba is located about 200 kilometers north of Durban and about 55 kilometers north of Richards Bay at an altitude of 67 meters above sea level. The N2 is tangent to the city. The Umfolozi River flows south past the city. The coast is 30 kilometers.

History
