MTV3
MTV3 is a Finnish private television station, operated by Bonnier and Proventus. MTV stands for Mainos Televisio ( TV advertising ). The market share in 2010 was 21.6%. The logo of MTV3 is the eye of an owl, which replaced the older owl logo in 2003.
MTV3 is one of the four Finnish-language stations (in addition to the two channels YLE and Nelonen ), covering Finland nationwide.
History
On August 13, 1957 MTV3 was founded as MTV Oy Mainos under the TV - Reklam Ab, and is the third oldest private television in Europe. Initially, the program consisted of only MTV airtime on a shared transmitter to 1986 Kolmoskanava ( TV3 ) in collaboration with YLE and Nokia originated. In 1993, MTV TV3 shares of YLE and Nokia. Alma Media Oy sold MTV and the daughter MTV3 , Subtv, Urheilukanava and Radio Nova in 2005 to the Swedish group Bonnier and Proventus.
2006, several digital TV channels are started: MTV3 Max, MTV3 Leffa, MTV3 Fakta and Subtv Juniori.
