MTX Audio

The MTX Audio Jackhammer T9922 is a 22 "subwoofer, developed by MTX Audio Corporation.

The Jackhammer is one of the largest and heaviest subwoofers that are commercially available.

The selling price 2006 of the T9922 is in stores 8,500 euros and is available in two versions. As SPL version ( with 2 × 2 Ω - dual voice coil ) or a SQL version with 2 × 4 Ω dual voice coil. A replaceable membrane system is available as an accessory and allows fast conversion between the two versions.

Although the MTX Jackhammer is designed for car hi-fi systems, it is found except for show only a few cars. As an example of an installation would be here the MTV show Pimp My Ride mentioned. Here a team of craftsmen built the Jackhammer in a 1986 Buick Century.

Currently no independent tests of this subwoofer are known to objectively represent the performance over the other extreme concepts. As rustic and the 32 -kg strontium ferrite magnet can be described. Development teams usually try the weight for high performance subwoofers for example through the use of neodymium iron boron decrease to increase the manageability.
