Muckendorf- Wipfing is a municipality with 1332 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Tulln in Lower Austria.

Geography

Muckendorf- Wipfing located in the eastern Tullner field on the south bank of the Danube in Lower Austria in the Capital Region " Lower Austria Center". The area of ​​the municipality covers 6.27 km ², 18.76 % of which is forested.

History

In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying shared the places the eventful history of Austria.

The community Muckendorf and Wipfing were merged in 1972 with Zeiselmauer and Wolfpassing to a large community. Since 1 January 1998, the two places as community Muckendorf- Wipfing are independent again.

Population Development

According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 980 inhabitants. In 1991 the community had 886 inhabitants in 1981 and 719 in 1971, 699 inhabitants.

Structures

On the eastern edge of Muckendorf, surrounded by a large park, is the " Weinwartshof ".
