Mueang Chachoengsao District

Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง ฉะเชิงเทรา ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the province of Chachoengsao. The Chachoengsao province located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand. The provincial capital Chachoengsao is also the capital of the district of Mueang Chachoengsao.

Geography

Chachoengsao is located on Maenam Bang Pakong, which flows 24 km downstream in the Gulf of Thailand. The city is located about 100 kilometers east of Bangkok.

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Bang Nam Priao, Khlong Khuean, Bang Khla and Ban Pho and the province of Chachoengsao Amphoe Bang Bo Samut Prakan province and the districts ( Khet ) Lat Krabang and Nong Chok Bangkok.

Education

In Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao is the Rajabhat - Rajanagarindra University.

Management

Amphoe Mueang Chachoengsao is divided into 19 communes ( tambon), which further into 187 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Chachoengsao ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง ฉะเชิงเทรา ) is also the name of a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it covers the whole tambon Na Mueang and parts of tambon Ban Mai, Bang Tin Pet, Wang Takhian and Sothon.

Nakhon Nueang Khet ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นคร เนื่อง เขต ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Khlong Nakhon Nueang Khet.

There are also 18 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
