Mueang Nakhon Phanom District

Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Phanom ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง นครพนม ) is a district ( Amphoe ) of Nakhon Phanom. The Nakhon Phanom Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, Isan.

Geography

Nakhon Phanom is located at the extreme north-eastern border of Thailand on the border with Laos on the banks of the Mekong.

Neighboring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe That Phanom and the Renu Nakhon Phanom Nakhon Province, Amphoe Kusuman the province of Sakon Nakhon and Amphoe Tha Pla Pak and Uthen turn from the province of Nakhon Phanom. To the east, on the opposite bank of the Mekong River, the Laotian province Khammuan.
