Mueang Nakhon Sawan District

Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Sawan ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง นครสวรรค์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Nakhon Sawan. The Nakhon Sawan Province is located in the southern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Banphot the Phisai Kao Liao, Chumsaeng, Tha Tako, Phayuha Khiri, Krok Phra and Lat Yao of Nakhon Sawan.

Education

In Amphoe Mueang Nakhon Sawan are the government Rajabhat University, Nakhon Sawan and the private Chaophraya University.

Management

The district of Mueang Nakhon Sawan is divided into 17 subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 170 villages ( Muban ).

Nakhon Sawan itself ( Thai: เทศบาล นคร นครสวรรค์ ) has city status ( thesaban Nakhon ), it consists of the complete tambon Paknam Pho and parts of the tambon Khwae Yai, Nakhon Sawan Tok, Nakhon Sawan Ok and Wat Sai.

Nong Baen ( เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง เบน ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Nong Krot and Nong Kradon.
