Mueang Samut Songkhram District

Amphoe Mueang Samut Songkhram ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง สมุทรสงคราม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Samut Songkhram. The Samut Songkhram Province is located in the central region of Thailand. The capital of the province, as well as Mueang Samut Songkhram of the district of Samut Songkhram is also called.

History

The county was established in 1897 and was at that time Lom Thuan. He was controlled by the Monthon from Ratchaburi. 1900 moved the county office in the temple area of Ban Prok, as he then was called since 1917. Geography
