Muespach-le-Haut

Muespach -le -Haut ( German Obermüspach ) is a commune with 1015 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the canton of Ferrette and community association Ill et Gersbach.

Geography

The community Muespach -le-Haut is located on the eponymous Muesbach, the lls Gersbach opens a few kilometers to the west in the Ill. The Sundgau community is located 15 kilometers from Basel and 20 kilometers from Altkirch.

Neighboring communities of Muespach -le-Haut are Knœringue in the north, Michel -le -Haut in the northeast, Folgensbourg in the east, Linsdorf in the south, southwest, and Muespach Fislis in the west.

From 1915 to the community had a common station with Folgensbourg on the railway line Waldighoffen -Saint -Louis- la- Chaussee. This comprised two sidings and a loading track. The passenger was set in 1955 and shut down the track in 1960.
