Muettersproch-Gsellschaft

The Muettersproch - Gsell shaft ( MSG) is a language club, which has set itself the objective to maintain the Alemannic dialect and preserved.

Organization

Members

The association founded in Freiburg in 1966 has 3,500 members from the Alemannic -speaking, in Alsace, Switzerland, Vorarlberg, but especially from South Baden. Members are also " scattered " Alemanni in Europe and overseas. In addition to the "normal" members of most authors and songwriters who write Alemannic are doing. In 1975 the club 350 members, 1977 had 1,000 members.

Regional Groups

The Gsell board has its headquarters in Freiburg since November 2010 and is organized into 20 regional groups. The groups are located along the Rhine from Geroldsecker land in the north over the border triangle of the south and to the Seealemannen in the east. Other groups are located in the Black Forest of the northern group Offenburg to the southeastern group A Brige and Breg.

General Assembly

Activities

Club magazine

The library

Community Project dialect in school
