Muhammad Nawaz

Muhammad Nawaz ( Urdu محمد نواز; born August 15, 1924 in Budhial, Chakwal District, Punjab, † May 13, 2004 ) was a Pakistani athlete, who competed in the javelin. His greatest successes were two gold medals at the Asian Games in 1954 and 1958. He is so far the only javelin thrower who could win twice in this competition. He also represented his country at the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, he finished 14th place, four years later in Rome he failed in 20th place already in the qualifying round.

Nawaz ' personal best of 76.39 meters dated from the year 1960.
