Geographical Location

Muhi is located about 15 km south of Miskolc in Hungary near the confluence of Sajó and Hornád. Nearby there is also the Hungarian wine -growing town of Tokaj. Neighboring municipalities are Hejőkeresztúr 5 km, Köröm 4 km, 3 km and Nagycsécs Ónod 4 km away. The nearest town is 7 km from Nyékládháza Muhi.

History

The place was known by the Battle of Muhi, in the April 10, 1241 horsemen of Batu Khan defeated one of King Béla IV cited Hungarian army.
