Muhlbach-sur-Munster

Muhlbach- sur -Munster ( German Mühlbach in Alsace, Alsatian mite) is a French municipality with 748 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district of Colmar, in the canton of Munster and is a member of the Association of Communes Vallée de Munster. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.

Geography

Muhlbach- sur -Munster is located on the top fencing in the last quarter of the Münstertal ( Vallée de Munster) between Breitenbach and Metzeral. The territory extends to the west close to the crest of the Vosges Mountains. Here the Gaschney ski area (1011 m).

The municipality has a breakpoint on the railway line Colmar- Metzeral which is navigated by TER Alsace trains.

Muhlbach has several attractions. In addition to a Catholic (1929 consecrated ) and a Protestant church (1930 ) is there also a sled and wood crafts museum.
