Muho Noelke

Muho (Jap. (ネルケ)无 方( Neruke ) muho, actually Olaf Nölke; * 1968 in Berlin ) is a German Zen master. He is since 2002 the Japanese monastery Antai -ji before the abbot.

In Germany he is known primarily for his translations Sawaki Kodo, whose tradition he represents as a stock holder in Japan.

Life

Muho was born as Olaf Nölke in Berlin. With Zen he came as a high school student in a boarding school in Braunschweig contact. While studying Japanese Studies at the Free University of Berlin in 1990, he spent a year in Japan, of which he spent six months in Antai -ji. After completing the master's program he ordained just there.

After the death of his master Miyaura Shinyu he was appointed in 2002 to his successor and has since been active as a Zen teacher both in Japan and abroad.
