Mukono Town
Location of Mukono in Uganda
Mukono is a city in Uganda. It lies in the central region of the country, about 15 kilometers east of the capital Kampala, a few kilometers north of Lake Victoria and has 53 608 inhabitants (estimate 2010). It is the capital of the eponymous district Mukono. The city is the seat of the Uganda Christian University Mukono diocese and the Anglican Church of the Province of Uganda.
There are highway connections to Kampala, Kayunga and Jinja and Njeru after.

Ggulu - Nsuube - Namumira - Ntaawo.

Exist with the English town of Guildford partnerships primarily on scholastic area.
Personalities
On 26 January 2011, David Kato, an activist for the rights of gays, was murdered in his home in Mukono.
