The Muksu is the left source of the river Vakhsh in the north eastern Tajikistan.

The Muksu arises at the confluence of Seldara (left) and Sauksai (right). The two source rivers originate at Fedchenko glacier or in the Transalai chain on Pik Lenin. The Muksu flows in a westerly direction through the north-western part of the Pamir Mountains and, after 88 km on the Kysylsu, which also carries the name Surchob here, and unites with this to the Vakhsh.
