Muldestausee

Muldestausee is a municipality belonging to a county that has arisen on 1 January 2010 in the eastern district of Anhalt - Bitterfeld, Saxony- Anhalt. The name derives from the Muldestausee lying in the community.

Geography

The community Muldestausee covers an area of ​​136.82 km ² and has 12,602 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2008).

Muldestausee lies mostly east of the eponymous reservoir trough between Bitterfeld- Wolfen and Delitzsch in the extreme southeast of the district of Anhalt- Bitterfeld. With the Muldestausee, the Great Goitzschesee and parts of the Lake Seelhauser the municipality share of the Saxon Lakeland. The eastern part of the municipality is located in the Duebener Heath. Largest river in the municipality is the trough.

Districts

History

The municipality was created on 1 January 2010 as part of the municipal reform from the conversion of the administrative community Muldestausee pain stream into a unified community. In addition to the ten member communities of the previous administration community and the communities Mühlbeck and Friedersdorf are ( previously managing community Bitterfeld-Wolfen ) districts of the new community.

The districts Friedersdorf and Mühlbeck forms the first book village in Germany.

Policy

The local council of Muldestausee consists of 28 members. After the local elections on 29 November 2009, the following distribution of seats resulted in three fractions and a non-attached Member:
