The Mull of Kintyre ( schott Gaelic Maol Chinn Tire, pronunciation. [ Mɯ ː l ˠ ̪ çiɲt ʲ ʰ i ː ɾ ʲ ə ]; mull in Scotland for cape, promontory, from schott Gael maol = " bald ") is the Ireland closest Cape in the south of Scottish Kintyre peninsula west of Glasgow.

The southernmost point of the peninsula is called Rubha Chlachan; from there, the peninsula extends 70 km ( with Knapdale about 90 km ) to the north. From the Cape of you have a good view to the North Antrim coast in Northern Ireland with the Rathlin Iceland. The rock island Ailsa Craig can be seen in the east of the Cape.
