Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is a large waterfall on oregonseitigen Columbia River Gorge. The case is in two stages (165 m and 21 m) and has a total height of 189 meters.

It is located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson on the Historic Columbia River Highway. The water comes from the Larch Mountain.

It is often wrongly asserted ( see Related links ), he was the second highest year-round waterfall flowing in the country. However, there are still at least 90 waterfalls in the United States that have a higher overall height.

A hiking trail leads to Benson suspension bridge, which is located far above the lower waterfall. The trail continues to a platform at the top level of the waterfall. The bridge was named after Simon Benson, a wooden entrepreneur and promoter of the construction of the Columbia River Highway, which was built in 1914 the bridge.
