Municipalities of the canton of St. Gallen
The Canton of St. Gallen comprises 77 political communities (as of 1 January 2013).
Municipalities of the canton of St. Gallen were to end of 2002 part of the districts, today they are part of the larger constituencies. This change is due to the new cantonal constitution of 10 June 2001. Constituencies have no capitals.

- 2005: Nesslau and Krummenau → Nesslau -Krummenau
- 2007: Rapperswil and Jona Rapperswil- Jona →
- 2009: Brunnadern, Ebersol and St. Peter Zell → Necker
- 2010: Alt St. Johann and wild → wild house house - Alt St. Johann
- 2013: Bronschhofen and Wil ( SG) → Wil ( SG)
- Vineyards, and Ernetschwil Gommiswald Gommiswald →
- Eschenbach (SG ), gold rings and Rüeterswil → Eschenbach ( SG)
