The canton of Thurgau comprises 80 communes, (February 2009). District locations are highlighted in bold.
In the canton of Thurgau occurred from 1 January 2011 a new classification of municipalities in only five districts in force.

1 to Konstanz ( Germany ) belonging Tägermoos district is located on Swiss territory. Since Constance is contractually equipped with the Thurgau community rights over the district, the city unofficially considered as 81 community of Thurgau.
