The castle was completely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1511 and enlarged in the 17th century for the Count of Thurn - Valsassin. Today, the castle houses the administration of the museums of the municipality radovljica ( Beekeeping Museum and SIVEC house in radovljica, hostage Museum in Begunje, wrought Craft Museum in kropa ). The central Slovenian beekeeping museum is particularly important; with rich collections, it introduces the development and importance of beekeeping in Slovenia, which was known by A. In the museum there is also a collection of old beehive ornamentation (usually it is humorous painted Stirnbrettchen of hives ) of the 18th and 19th centuries, which are a special feature of the Slovenian folk art. In the castle you will find a further Linhart Memorial Room, where you can visit the work of the historian and playwright Anton Tomaž Linhart.
