Murray Bridge, South Australia

Murray Bridge is a town in the Australian state of South Australia and lies about 80 km southeast of Adelaide.

Is named the place after the 1879 built road bridge over the Murray River. Between 1886 and 1927 the railway was crossed this bridge before a second bridge was built parallel to it. Today, the transit route through the five kilometers away Swanport Bridge.

The settlement near the bridge was founded in 1883 and was first called Mobi Long, then Edwards Crossing and from 1924 Murray Bridge. The city lives mainly from agriculture and has 14 048 inhabitants.
