Murray Tosh

Murray Tosh ( born September 1, 1950 in Ayr ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Conservative Party.

Life

Tosh attended Kilmarnock Academy and then studied history and politics at the University of Glasgow. Then he went to Jordanhill College of Education, where he earned his teaching license. In the following years, Tosh was a teacher at various schools.

Political career

Tosh was initially a member of the Liberal Party and during his time at the University of Glasgow President of the Glasgow University Liberal Club. At the general election in October 1974 he was a candidate for the Liberal Party in the constituency of Ayr, missed with a share of around 6.3 % of the vote to move into the British House of Commons, however, clearly.
