Mus`ab ibn `Umair

Mus ʿ at ibn ʿ Umair ( مصعب بن عمير, DMG Mus ʿ at ibn ʿ Umair; * between the years 594 and 598), also known as Mus ʿ at al - chayr ( The Good ) was one of the Sahaba ( companions ) of the Prophet Muhammad, who at a young Age embraced Islam. He plays a very important role for Islam because it is part of the reason that Muhammed and his people could complete the great Hijra from Mecca to Medina. For he was the first ambassador of the Islamic history.

Life

In Yathrib, ie in the former Medina, lived the two Arab tribes Aus and Khazraj. In the year 11 after the appointment ( 3 per cent; 620 AD) came six men, all from the tribe of Khazraj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Death

Mus'ab ibn Umair came in the Battle of Uhud in 625 lost their lives. He was one of the few who had fought with great courage. Nevertheless, he was at the end when he tried to protect the Prophet, pierced by the spear of Ibn Kami'ah and thus died a martyr's death.
