Akio Mori was four times the K- 1 Japan Grand Prix (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003) to win. In 2003 and 2004 he reached the final of each of the K - 1 World Championship, but was defeated both times the now three -time world champion Remy Bonjasky of Holland.
