Muscat (grape)

Moscatel is a grape that is worldwide, especially in the Mediterranean countries, widespread. In Spain and Portugal Moscatel is a common name for the various varieties of muscat. It requires very warm locations and is suitable for all soils, except for cohesive limestone soils.

The wines are racy and have a clear, very fine muscat bouquet. In Spain, Moscatel is used as a blending for Sherry to receive certain flavor characteristics.
