The Muscat International Airport ( former name until 31 January 2008: Seeb International Airport ) ( IATA: MCT, ICAO: OOMS ) is the most important aviation hub in Oman. Currently 56 points are served in 28 countries (as of: January 17, 2012). The airport is located in Sib, about 30 km west of Old Muscat and since 1972 has been in operation. It was planned and built by J & P. Oman Air uses the airport as a hub.

Extensions

The construction of a new runway of the airport for the Airbus A380 to be upgraded. Simultaneously, a new terminal is being built, both measures are to be completed by the year 2014. The capacity will increase to 12 million passengers so / year.
