Muscogee County, Georgia

The Muscogee County is a county located in the state of Georgia in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Columbus.

Geography

The County is located in western Georgia, on the border with Alabama and has an area of 572 square kilometers, of which twelve square kilometers of water surface, and borders clockwise to the following counties: Harris County, Talbot County and Chattahoochee County.

History

Muscogee County was formed as the 69th County of Georgia from the Creek Indian akquiriertem country on 9 June 1825.
