Museum for Historical Maybach Vehicles

The Museum for historical Maybach vehicles is a museum in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz (Bavaria), the vehicles of the Maybach brand is dedicated to. In addition to vintage cars and modern models of the Maybach Manufaktur, and some vehicles from Mercedes- Benz to be issued. It was created on the initiative of Neumarkters Helmut Hofmann, who is 15 vehicles owned by the largest collection of historic Maybach in private hands, and was opened on 31 March 2009. The official inauguration took place on 13 June 2009.

Maybach Exposition

The museum is the only automobile museum, the Maybach brand exclusively devoted worldwide. On about 2500 m² numerous exhibits. The focus is on the 18 vehicles that are located in different states. For most vehicles, it was possible to reconstruct their owners and their backstory. In addition to the production of automobiles while also marketing, customer service and retention are examined in detail at that time. Another part of the exhibition deals with the commitment of the company in the airship.

Museum building

The Museum building is located in a former industrial area in the Holzgartenstraße south of the old town. It was built by the Express works produced from 1884 to 1959 bicycles and motorcycles here. After the dissolution of the company parts of the building were used by changing companies and businesses, at times it also served as a depot for the buses Stadtwerke Neumarkt. From 2005 to 2009, the buildings have been completely renovated and reconstructed.
