Museum of Chinese in America

The Museum of Chinese in America ( MOCA ) is a museum of Chinese Art in Manhattan in New York City.

It was founded in 1980 as the New York Chinatown History Project by historian John Kuo Wei Tchen and Charles Lai activist. The aim of the foundation was to create a better understanding of Chinese art from America and to ensure the preservation of their history through photo documentation, research and collection. The collection contains 60,000 documents, photographs and textiles, making it the largest non-university collection.
