Museum of Italian Art

The Museo de Arte Italiano is a museum in Lima. It is the only one in Peru, which focuses on European painting. It was opened on 11 November 1923.

The Collection

The collection was founded by Mario Vannini Parenti, who procured more than 200 works of art from Italy for the museum. They include sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints and ceramics. Due to its collection activities, the museum can present works from all regions of Italy.
