Museum of Medieval Stockholm

Stockholm medeltidsmuseum ( German Stockholm Medieval Museum ) is a museum in the Swedish capital Stockholm.

The museum is located on the island Helgeandsholmen, north of Stockholm Palace. In the late 1970s, the museum was built according to archaeological excavations at this location between ancient monuments, dating from the early 16th century. Between 15 June 2007 and 2010, the museum was closed for renovation work on the bridge Norrbro. The museum is dedicated to the medieval history of Stockholm ( 1250s to 1520s ). In it, various issues exhibitions and a museum shop sells books on the Middle Ages as well as postcards and jewelry.
