Musselburgh

Musselburgh is the largest municipality in East Lothian, Scotland It is located on the coast of the Firth of Forth ten kilometers east of the city center of Edinburgh. She is considered one of the oldest communities of Scotland.

1547 suffered the Scottish army near Musselburgh at the Battle of Pinkie Cleugh a devastating defeat. In June 1567, the Battle of Carberry Hill took about 2 km southeast of the city instead, was defeated in the Mary Stuart, after which she was jailed on Loch Leven Castle.
