Geographical location

Mussulo, sometimes called incorrectly Ilha do Mussulo, is a 30 kilometer Spit off the Angolan coast directly south of the capital Luanda. The village belongs to the municipality load.

The maximum of three kilometers wide, south in the narrowest region of the center for several kilometers less than a hundred yards wide peninsula formed by the Benguela current and the prevailing wind direction of the southwest trade winds. It surrounds, with the opening to the north elevation of the airport in Luanda, the Mussulo - bay with several islands, the largest in the north of the Ilha dos Padres.

Mussulo is to be reached by boat leisure and water sports area for the inhabitants of Luanda. A number of houses and leisure facilities can be found on the lagoon side.
