Mustafa Denizli ( born November 10, 1949 in Izmir ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach.

Player

Mustafa Denizli played 17 years for Altay Izmir. In 1980 he shot with Bakhtiyar Yorulmaz the most goals in the Turkish Süper Lig In 1983 he moved to Galatasaray, but already in the season 1983/1984 he ended his active career. He played ten times for the Turkish national team.

Coach

He spent three years working for Galatasaray under Jupp, outfitted as an assistant coach. In 1987, he became coach of Galatasaray and immediately won the Turkish Cup. In the same year he became coach of the Turkish national team. He also made ​​history when he reached the semifinals with Galatasaray in the European Champions Cup. This was the greatest success of a Turkish team in European football by then.

In Germany he worked for Alemannia Aachen in the 2nd Bundesliga in the season 1989 /1990. After a year he was again coach of Galatasaray, and was cup winner and came in the UEFA Cup to the quarterfinals. Between 1992 and 1995 he worked for Kocaelispor. In 2000, he was the second time coach of the Turkish national team. Mustafa Denizli led the team to the quarter- finals of the European Football Championship 2000 in Belgium and the Netherlands.

He was in the 2000/2001 season, the first and only Turkish coach who led the championship Fenerbahce Istanbul. After two years he was manager of Vestel Manisaspor. In 2004, he was in Iran at Pas Tehran coach, led the club to second place, stepping back afterwards. In the 2006/2007 season he was the coach of Persepolis in Iran.

On October 9, 2008 Denizli joined the successor to the retiring Ertuğrul Sağlam as coach of Beşiktaş Istanbul. Denizli took over the team just before the winter break with the 6th place in the league. Through a brilliant second round he won the Double with Beşiktaş in Turkey. He is thus the first Turkish coach who Beşiktaş Istanbul has led to the championship and DoubleClick. He is also the only coach with all three of the "big" clubs of Istanbul (Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe) champion. On December 23, 2011 it was announced that Mustafa Denizli is re-train Persepolis.

For the second half of the season 2012/13 he took surprisingly the Turkish second division Çaykur Rizespor. With Rizespor it was end of the season runners- TFF 1 Lig and rose to the Süper Lig. After this success, he was able to reach an agreement with the club committee on any further cooperation. So he left end of the season this club and was later replaced by little Riza Çalımbay.

In early December 2013, took the Azerbaijani first division club FK Denizli Xəzər Lənkəran.
