Mutien-Marie Wiaux

Mutien -Marie Wiaux ( born March 20, 1841 in Mellet, Belgium, † January 30, 1917 in Malonne, Belgium) was a Belgian monk of the Christian Schools brothers and is a saint of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Louis -Joseph at the age of 15 years the Christian Brothers school of St.. Jean Baptiste de La Salle in and took the name Mutien -Marie. For almost six decades, he taught at the college in Malonne whose rescue in the First World War, the German occupiers is attributed to him. He was beatified in 1977 and canonized in 1989.
