Muuga Harbour

Muuga is the largest and deepest port trade of Estonia.

The Port of Muuga administratively belongs to the city Maardu in Harju County. It is 17 km from Tallinn to the south of the Bay of Muuga (Estonian Muuga Laht ) the Gulf of Finland. The bay is about 20 m deep.

The Port of Muuga was put into operation in 1986 and has since been modernized several times. A large portion is included as a free port. Founded in 1996, is owned by the Tallinn harbor AG (Estonian Tallinna Sadam AS ), which is 100 % in the hands of the Estonian state.
