Muye Dobo Tongji

In 1790, the Korean King Jeongjo was a book called Muye Dobo Tongji (also called " Muyedobotongji ") means in order, which translates as " illustrated manual of martial arts ". This book, by Yi Deok -mu ( 이덕무, 1741-1793 ) and Pak Je- ga ( 박제가, 1750-1805 ) was written, describes in detail many techniques and weapons in a chapter unarmed fighting techniques. The latter are called in Muye Dobo Tongji " Kwon Beop ". The book was published in four volumes, where there is an additional band are shown in the original Chinese characters ( Hanja ) in Korean script ( Hangeul ). The martial arts described in Muye Dobo Tongji were reconstructed, from which the martial arts Síppal Gi ( " 18 techniques " ) and Muye 24 Gi ( " martial art of the 24 techniques " ) emerged. The latter is also called Ban Muye 24.
