The Pacific Pearl is a cruise ship belonging to Carnival Corporation cruise line P & O Cruises Australia. It has 11 decks with a total of 801 rooms, of which 64 with private balconies. Between 1,578 and 1,856 passengers are served by 514 crew members.

History

The ship was launched on 28 May 1988 at the Chantiers de l' Atlantique in St. Nazaire (France) as Sitmar FairMajesty from the stack. Before commissioning in May 1989, the shipping company Sitmar was been taken over by P & O Princess Cruises and the ship is thereby in Star Princess renamed (not to be confused with the later newly built ship Star Princess ). In 1997 the ship at the Irish Harland and Wolff shipyard was rebuilt and in Arcadia'umbenannt. In 2003 it was known as Ocean Village for the first ship of the same name.

Since the Carnival Corporation, the brand " Ocean Village " did not want to operate, the ship was handed over to the P & O Cruises Australia.
