The Rachel Corrie is a coaster, which is operated by the Free Gaza Movement for humanitarian missions. The ship was named after Rachel Corrie.

History

Was built the ship in 1967 in Hamburg under construction number 625 of the shipyard JJ Sietas. The launching of the ship took place on 15 April, the delivery on 20 May 1967. The ship was put into service as Carsten. It was purchased in 2000 at an auction by the Free Gaza Movement. Since 2005, it is registered in Phnom Penh in Cambodia. On May 31, 2010, Rachel Corrie from Ireland drove towards the Gaza Strip. The ship, however, was boarded in international waters by Israel.
