Mvezo

Mvezo is a place in the district O.R. Tambo in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Mvezo located on the banks of the Mbashe River near Mthatha. During the apartheid era Mvezo belonged to the Transkei. 2011 Mvezo had 810 inhabitants.

On 18 July 1918, born in Mvezo of freedom fighter and later South African President Nelson Mandela († 2013). Today it is a part of the Nelson Mandela Museum.
