The Mwanza Lake Victoria International Airport is a commercial airport located outside the Tanzanian city of Mwanza. The Airport is close to Lake Victoria. In 2006, about 200,000 passengers were recorded. The airport is operated by the national airport authority "Tanzania Airports Authority ".

Generally

The start and runway (12 /30) of the airport is about 3100 meters long and is sufficient for larger machines. However, the parking positions are not sufficient for wide-body aircraft. An ILS approach to Mwanza is possible. It fly exclusively national airlines such as Air Tanzania Airport and connect Mwanza thus with other regional cities in Tanzania.
