Mountain Mweelrea behind Killary Harbour

The Mweelrea ( Irish: Cnoc Maol Reidh, that is bare, gray hills ) is a mountain in the west of Ireland, in the south-western tip of the Irish county of Mayo.

With a height of 817 meters, the Mweelrea is the highest point in Mayo and Connacht. He towers over Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord. From its summit one has a good view of parts of the counties of Galway and Mayo. Mweelrea lies to the west of Lough Doo and the village of Delphi.
